Our fundraising promise
Last updated: October 2026
Draft policy. ZuAfrique Foundation is being established. This policy will be reviewed by a legal adviser and formally adopted by our trustees as part of registration.
We follow the Code of Fundraising Practice. We will register with the Fundraising Regulator once ZuAfrique Foundation is a registered charity.
We promise to
- Be respectful. We will never pressure you to give, and we will respect your wishes about how and whether we contact you.
- Be honest and open. We will tell you clearly who we are, what we do and how your gift is used. We will answer questions about our fundraising openly.
- Be fair and reasonable. We will take extra care with anyone who may be in vulnerable circumstances, and we will not accept a gift if we have reason to think the donor lacks the capacity to decide.
- Be accountable. If you’re unhappy with anything we’ve done, you can tell us and we will respond.
- Protect your data. We will never sell or swap your details. See our privacy policy.
Accepting and refusing gifts
Trustees may decline a gift that conflicts with our charitable purposes or values, or that could damage public trust in the foundation. We do not accept cryptoasset donations.
Restricted gifts
If you give for a specific purpose, we will use it for that purpose. If that becomes impossible, we will contact you before using it elsewhere.
